The Story So Far
Meyer Rosselman was born in Kiev in 1892.
In 1919, he found himself at odds with the state and boarded a boat for America.
On board, he met a woman by the piano and asked her to marry him. Although not straight away.
After 3 months on dry land, studying English, they'd learnt enough to understand they were actually in London, not New York.
But they liked it, moved into a flat in Soho and had a baby girl, Louise.
One day, Louise was dressing a local shop window when the owner's son came by. His name was Henry. He was a somewhat gloomy man, 10 years her senior. He spent his time taking photographs, carving alabaster sculptures and playing the trombone.
They had a son, Paul.
Paul loved cars and a woman named Valerie. They divorced, but not before having Tasha, then Tanya, then Oliver.
Tasha and Tanya live in London. They grew up making pictures and fiddling about with cameras, which is how they ended up at The Royal College of Art making pictures and fiddling about with cameras.
Since then they have shot various commercials for Mother, Fallon, DDB Amsterdam, Wieden & Kennedy London, and AMV BBDO, created illustrations for Random House, Vintage, Penguin, Blue Source, and the Guardian, and music promos for Melancholic, Source, Grand Royale and XL Records.
